How accurate is the GoChronos stopwatch?

The GoChronos stopwatch uses the browser's performance.now() API for sub-millisecond timing, displayed to 3 decimal places. It is as precise as any software-based stopwatch.

Can I record lap times?

Yes. Click the Lap button while the stopwatch is running to record a split. Each lap shows its individual duration and the cumulative elapsed time.

Can I set a countdown to a specific date and time?

Yes. Switch to Countdown mode and enter any future date and time to count down days, hours, minutes and seconds until that exact moment.

Can I set a simple duration countdown like 10 minutes?

Yes. In Countdown mode enter hours, minutes and seconds. The timer counts down and shows an alert when it reaches zero.

Can I share a countdown link with others?

Yes. The target date is encoded in the URL, so copying and sharing the page URL lets others see the same countdown.

Does the stopwatch keep running if I switch tabs?

Yes. Both the stopwatch and countdown continue in the background even if you switch browser tabs or minimise the window.
