Is my document uploaded to a server?

No. All OCR processing runs entirely in your browser using Tesseract.js (WebAssembly). Your documents never leave your device and are never stored, transmitted or processed on any server.

How accurate is browser-based OCR?

High-resolution scans with good contrast typically achieve 95%+ accuracy for printed text. Handwriting, low contrast or unusual fonts will reduce accuracy.

Can I extract text from a scanned PDF?
