Where are these documents stored?

In this browser's storage on this device. They are not uploaded and do not sync to other devices unless you export them.

What happens if I close the tab while typing?

The editor autosaves as you type. When you come back, the document is listed here with the last autosaved content, and the editor offers to restore anything newer than the last explicit save.

Can I get my documents out?

Yes. Each document exports as .docx, PDF, Markdown, HTML or plain text, and the whole library can be exported at once.

Will clearing my browser data delete them?

Yes, like any site data. The Workspace page shows exactly how much space documents take and lets you export before clearing.

Folders, tags and full-text search are part of the library. Documents you star stay at the top.
