Lossless copies the original streams, so it finishes in seconds and the quality is untouched — but the cut lands on the nearest keyframe before your start point. Frame-exact re-encodes, which is slower but starts precisely where you asked.

Is there a file size limit?

No hard limit, but the engine holds the video in memory — stay under about 1 GB on desktop and 300 MB on mobile browsers.
